What to include in a cruise ship cover letter

Name the exact role

Open with the role you are applying for. Name the employer only when you are preparing an application for that employer; otherwise keep the greeting and introduction neutral.

Choose two useful examples

Explain how one or two parts of your actual experience relate to the vacancy. A waiter might discuss service coordination and guest communication. Avoid repeating every line of the CV.

Keep availability factual

Include availability only if it is current. Do not claim documents, certificates or language skills you cannot demonstrate. A cover letter should explain your CV, not add invented qualifications.

Read the final documents together

Check that the name, role, dates and contact details match. Remove placeholders and review AI suggestions before exporting. Follow the employer's requested submission format.
